The following are all of the topic tags currently applied in WIST; the number shows how many quotations have that topic tag.

I began regularly adding tags at the beginning of 2014, so the majority of quotations entered prior to that aren’t yet tagged. I do add tags whenever I have call to update an entry.

As a general rule, I try to use nouns as topic tags, converting adjectives over to noun forms when need be (e.g., “clever” → “cleverness”). I also tend to prefer singular rather than plural. This has not been consistently done, however. One of the items on my List of Things To Do is do an overall cleanup of the tags.
